Our 2019 Sunday Lunch Event will be held at Harper Adams University.
The Henry Plumb Foundation is proud to announce a special Sunday Lunch event to celebrate its seventh year as a positive influence shaping young farmers’ lives. ‘Sunday Lunch with a difference’, is open to all supporters and friends and will take place at Harper Adams University on Sunday June 30th.
The lunch isn’t just about taking the time to enjoy a traditional Sunday Roast, but to meet and speak with people who have a similar outlook on the world of farming, food production and looking after our very special countryside. The opportunity will be taken to showcase successful scholars providing opportunity for them to describe their own experiences as scholars of HPF– scholars will be more than welcome to share what HPF has meant to them.
To begin we will have an outline of the work of Harper Adams University by Dr David Llewellyn, Vice Chancellor and an update by Lord Plumb and some of the trustees on the progress of The Henry Plumb Foundation. We will be entertained with a recital by an up and coming young flautist; accompanied on the piano by a top prize-winning pianist; traditional and modern singing by two cousins who sing duets and a traditional Welsh Choir of Mixed voices. Full programme for the day can be found below.
There will also be an ‘Auction of Promises’ – in which you can bid on items donated by friends as part of the fundraising effort –the whole combining to cap off a great day combining traditional Sunday lunch with stimulating discussion and quality entertainment – a day with a REAL difference!
One of the aims of this event is to raise funds to help us continue our vital work in supporting young people to become established within the British food and farming sector. We are looking forward to seeing a good number of our scholars together in one place – a rare treat indeed.
We do hope to see you and your guests there – it should be an excellent day to meet like-minded people, who share a great passion for the work we do.
