2025 has been another positive year for The Henry Plumb Foundation

There have been several changes in our Trustees which have included the appointment of three new ones and sadly the resignation of Joe Stanley, one of the existing incumbents.

The Henry Plumb Foundation is particularly pleased to see two of its Trustees honoured in The New years Honours list. 

By now a good number of our friends and supporters will have received a personal Christmas Card/short newsletter with an update on the progress that we have made during the year. Detail is contained within the card but there are a number of changes to which we would draw your attention.

Following on from our update on the 4th July (now taken down from the website) we asked our scholars for their thoughts on the Henry Plumb Foundation and the part it had played in helping them become established in the world of farming.

A natural communicator we feel we’re very much a part of the way he’s been developing and a part of his journey to grow his business.

Having been around the show circuit in England and Wales only so far this year, but soon to include Scotland as I shall soon be heading for The Black Isle Show in August just above Inverness and then coming home to go on to The Dorset County Show in September I’m intrigued at the regular question I’m asked more than anything else.

Getting used to the fact that we no longer have the physical presence of Henry has been a gentle challenge, made easier with the realisation that there will always be a clear sense that the spirit of his tangible legacy will remain as a guiding compass for the organisation.

The Funeral Service and Thanksgiving Service for our late Patron took place on Thursday 12th May, it was a sad occasion with a strong underlying spirit of satisfaction for a life well lived to its utmost.
