2021 was the second highest year for numbers of scholars and we are pleased to report greater interaction with the YFC than previously.
I’ve always said that 13 is one of my lucky numbers, so when I look back at the week commencing 13th September, I shouldn’t be in the least bit surprised to find it was a good one. There were many positive matters to report, all of which started several months ago, the detail of which will be explored a little on this website during the next week or so.

Milly Fyfe BA, was a successful candidate for HPF support in 2013, so one of the people we were able to help in the first round of applicants. A former National Chairman of NFYFC, with a background in PR, marketing and charity fundraising and has worked with RABI and The Shorthorn Cattle Society.
Now married with two children, Milly has recently become Secretary of the English Panel of CARAS. The Council for Awards for the Royal Agricultural Societies.

Sunday Lunch with a difference, was held at Harper Adams University (HAU) on Sunday 30th June. Designed to create an opportunity for the Trustees of the Henry Plumb Foundation to tell the world what the organisation is about and to hear from a selection of scholars what the experience has meant to them, it went down a storm - all in a convivial atmosphere.
We are all set for a very special day on Sunday and part of the proceedings will be the auctioning of the very generously donated ‘Auction of Promises’ with all money raised benefitting The Henry Plumb Foundation.
Excellent food, company, quality entertainment open to all supporters of future farmers.
The Henry Plumb Foundation is proud to announce a special Sunday Lunch event to celebrate its seventh year as a positive influence shaping young farmers’ lives. ‘Sunday Lunch with a difference’, is open to all supporters and friends and will take place at Harper Adams University on Sunday June 30th.
The Henry Plumb Foundation have appointed a new trustee, Joe Stanley, with extensive hands-on experience in the industry and a keen understanding of the issues currently facing the young farming community. As trustee, Joe will continue the Henry Plumb Foundation’s vital work in providing opportunities and guidance to the next generation of young people developing their careers in agriculture.
A small but significant part of The Henry Plumb Foundation offering is the work which is a continuation of the former International Agricultural Training Programme (IATP).
